DaVita IKC is the renal population health management division of DaVita, serving approximately 100,000+ end stage renal disease (ESRD) and late stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients across the U.S. A key component of DaVita’s integrated care strategy is our healthcare analytics team. This team is responsible for developing advanced data analytics and reporting solutions that help inform our clinical model of care, operations execution, and program performance.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for leading development of Tableau reports which are utilized as a key source for evaluating program performance and informing care model decisions. You will utilize your technical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to understand business needs and translate these into technical requirements to develop efficient reporting solutions. In addition to this, you will play a key role in supporting and informing the team’s approach to Tableau development through creating and publishing data sources, performing Tableau site administrator duties, and communicating with stakeholders.The BI Tech Lead will work with teammates across various teams ranging from peers, to clinicians and operators, to executive leaders. The environment is highly collaborative and team oriented with a differential focus on both professional and personal growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Tech Lead must be able to work successfully with cross-functional teams and have the maturity to interact directly with both peers and executives across departments. Understand business needs/challenges and translate them to assist developers in creating scalable solutions to requestsPerform thorough quality assurance assessments of in progress and completed projectsCreate, maintain, and distribute reports that play a key role in evaluating performance and informing care model decisionsUtilize SQL and relational database experience to develop and publish Tableau data sources used across multiple reportsDevelop and maintain procedures that support the team’s reporting capabilities, including coaching developers on accepted best practices
Tableau Site Administrator Duties
Maintain organization of content on Tableau sitesMonitor activity and basic performance of site content and work with IT partners to resolve potential issuesMaintain permissions and access to Tableau contentWork with IT partners to ensure access to latest Tableau features and functionality
Communication
Create and maintain report documentationPresent and communicate reports to various stakeholders including executive leadership and clinical teammatesSuccinctly and clearly convey findings from reports and analyses
Provide Analytical Support
Use Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and SQL to perform ad-hoc analyses on a variety of data sourcesSummarize and deliver unique insights on claims data received from payor and provider partners and operations/clinical data collected through EMRs
