WORKERS COMPENSATION ATTORNEYCareer Consulting Partners has partnered with a workers' compensation defense law firm that has been in business for over 30 years. They specialize in the defense of all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including fraud, discrimination, and serious & willful misconduct.We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our defense team and help protect employers, insurers, and third-party administrators from the rising tide of claims.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in California workers’ compensation law and be comfortable handling complex cases from inception to conclusion. This role requires a strong understanding of the Labor Code, an ability to navigate nuanced issues, and the drive to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.DUTIES:Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation defense cases, including claim investigations, depositions, discovery, and hearings.Provide legal representation in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, with a focus on claims involving fraud, discrimination, and serious & willful misconduct.Develop and execute defense strategies tailored to the unique circumstances of each case.Attend and represent clients at trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and appeals.Analyze case merits, and risk exposure, and recommend actions to clients to minimize liability.Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs, and conduct necessary legal research.Collaborate with clients, adjusters, and colleagues to ensure effective and efficient case resolution.Stay updated on developments in workers’ compensation law and share relevant knowledge with the team.REQUIREMENTS:J.D. from an accredited law school.Active membership in the California Bar.A minimum of 4 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.In-depth knowledge of California workers’ compensation laws and regulations.Proven success in handling complex cases, including fraud, discrimination, and serious & willful misconduct.Excellent litigation and negotiation skills.Strong analytical, writing, and communication abilities.Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple cases simultaneously.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k).Opportunities for growth and professional development.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Flexible work arrangements (hybrid).LOCATION:Cypress, California (90630).FIRM INSIGHT:If you are an attorney with CA litigation or no litigation experience, we will provide training as we are also looking for a junior attorney.We understand that flexibility is key.
