Middle School Musical Drama Director

Overview: The Director of the Middle School Musical is responsible for overseeing the artistic vision and execution of the school's annual musical production. This role involves working closely with students, faculty, and the production team to ensure a successful and enriching experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the artistic vision for the musical.

Audition and cast students for various roles in the production.

Conduct rehearsals, providing direction and feedback to students.

Collaborate with the Musical Director and Producer to ensure cohesive production.

Work with the technical team on staging, lighting, and costumes.

Engage with students and parents to foster a positive and inclusive environment.

Organize and lead production meetings, addressing any concerns that arise.

Promote the musical within the school community and assist with marketing efforts.

Ensure that all performances adhere to safety and school policies.

Qualifications:

Experience in musical direction for theatrical productions, particularly with middle school students.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Ability to organize and rehearse students

Ability to adhere to a schedule and be present at all (most of) rehearsals
