Job Description:

The Psychology Department at Montclair State University is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology, to begin in September 2025. We are seeking a dynamic colleague with a strong background in quantitative methods to join the faculty of our PhD, MA, and undergraduate programs. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced quantitative methods in their research and be able to teach advanced quantitative methods courses. Area of research specialization is open, although we have a preference for candidates whose research specialty is relevant to life span and/or health psychology. Candidates are expected to teach courses in quantitative methods and in their fields across the undergraduate and graduate programs, maintain an active research program with publications in quality journals, and pursue external funding.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a PhD in psychology with a strong background in quantitative methods, demonstrate excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience, and plans to pursue external funding. Area of specialization is open but preference would be given to research programs relevant to life span and/or health psychology. We are especially interested in applicants whose research and teaching incorporate advanced quantitative analyses.

Commensurate with experience
