Must

have

a bachelor's degree in filmmaking (or equivalent) and at least five (5) years of professional experience in your field . Teaching experience is not mandatory but certainly would be a bonus.A reel of top-quality work is essential.You must be comfortable working in Adobe Premier.We are hiring faculty members for the Summer of 2024. The semester runs for 15 weeks.Teachers must be able to commit to at least 6 hours of teaching per week. Since many of our classes are being taught online, you must be comfortable with remote teaching. We provide an online learning specialist who will help build your course.We're a small school where the faculty get to know the students and their work. We foster mentoring.We have an AAS program, as well as a Certificate Program. Our students are well-trained and go on to find work in the industry. We have a 92% job placement for graduates.We're a project-driven school. The Skills Courses support the Project Courses to drive home the knowledge for each department.We foster communication. We value diversity, equality & inclusion.Our goal is to assist our students in finding their 'voice.' Our students have been accepted into festivals around the world, including Cannes and Sundance.Our faculty are all working professionals in their fields.We have Oscar nominees and Emmy Award winners on our faculty.Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Dean of the school to develop curricula tailored to each class.Engage students in the learning process effectively.Cultivate a nurturing atmosphere for students to excel and motivate them to produce their best work.Execute all teaching responsibilities promptly and professionally.Participate in bi-monthly faculty meetings.Coordinate with school administration on matters related to student attendance and grading.Collaborate closely with teaching assistants.Conduct individual meetings with students to provide personalized guidance.Create and refine course syllabi to meet student needs.Qualifications

Minimum of five years of professional experience.Bachelor's degree in film or a related field.Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere (Adobe Certified Instructor preferred).Experience working with both HD and 4K footage and professional workflows.Extensive knowledge of editing craft.Teaching experience is preferred, but not necessary.Compensation
