has a fantastic opportunity for a Public Affairs Specialist 3 (Behavioral Health) to join an excellent team. This is a Full-Time, Permanent, MMN position with the External Relations Division.What you will do!Provide external strategic communications support for the Behavioral Health Division. Develop strategic communications plans and serve as the primary executive communications officer and spokesperson for the Behavioral Health Division. Produce news releases, articles, speeches, video scripts, talking points, reports, social media posts and other content that informs and educates Oregonians on a range of critical, complex, political and sensitive topics. Provide executive communications support to OHA leaders. Develop and implement communication policies, procedures, and priorities consistent with policies established by the Governor, OHA Director, and OHA Communications Director.

Five of the eight years must have been at the professional level.Working conditions:Position requires the incumbent to work a professional work week where the hours of work fluctuate on a daily and weekly basis. Must follow all security protocols and procedures. Extensive use of the computer, telephone, smartphones, and other technologies. Is subject to fluctuating workloads and priorities in dealing with highly complex, sensitive and/or political issues.
