Senior IT Applications Solution Architect

About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior IT Applications Solution Architect. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing innovative technology solutions that address the complex needs of our rail transportation clients. You will leverage your deep understanding of IT architecture, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to drive digital transformation and modernization initiatives.Responsibilities:Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable solution architectures.Design and implement solutions for rail transportation companies, encompassing various aspects such as infrastructure, applications, data management, and security.Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of event-driven architecture, enterprise information management, and cloud computing.Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture frameworks and standards.Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.15+ years of experience in multiple IT domains, including 10+ years of experience in technology architecture.Proven experience in defining and implementing solutions for rail transportation companies.Strong understanding of EA frameworks, methodologies, and bodies of knowledge such as TOGAF, BizBok, and DMBok (preferred).Expertise in architectural modeling, event-driven architecture, enterprise information management, and software design and development.Experience with a wide range of technologies, from legacy systems (e.g., IBM Mainframe, TPF) to modern cloud-native architectures (e.g., Java, Spring, microservices).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.5+ years of experience with SAFe Agile framework.
