The Center's activities include study abroad, international admissions, and supporting the employment of foreign national faculty.Job SummaryThe Director of International Student & Scholar Services creates and defines departmental goals and objectives, supervises staff, and oversees the daily operations of the International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) team. The ISSS team is responsible for immigration advising and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The Director provides guidance in a changing regulatory environment and must stay informed about changes from the U.S. Departments of State, Homeland Security, and Labor.Work LocationWork will be performed primarily on-site. Hybrid work options may be available, with specifics discussed during the interview process.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's DegreePrior experience as a Designated School Official (DSO)Two years of experience working with international students in an educational environmentPreferred QualificationsFive or more years working in higher educationMaster's DegreeSupervisory experience of two or more staffExperience with SEVIS Batch ProcessingExperience as a Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO)Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for international studentsTarget Salary Range$80,000-$90,000/annually (Salary will be determined by finalist's experience, training, education, and equity-based factors.)Benefits and Total RewardsUWM offers a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, sick leave, personal holiday, and paid legal holidays.
