Job Overview:
A1FED is seeking a highly experienced Senior Management Analyst to support the Risk Management function at a Federal Agency. This role will involve assessing, identifying, and mitigating risks associated with the agency’s IT infrastructure, programs, and operations. The Senior Management Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring that risks are effectively monitored and controlled in line with federal regulations and agency objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with the Federal Agency’s mission and objectives.Collaborate with IT, operations, and security teams to assess risks across various aspects of the agency’s infrastructure, programs, and processes.Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans for critical projects, including IT modernization, cloud migrations, and business operations.Ensure compliance with federal risk management standards such as NIST SP 800-37, FISMA, and OMB A-123, providing guidance on the agency’s risk management policies and procedures.Monitor risk indicators, evaluate risk controls, and track progress toward mitigation goals, ensuring timely reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.Develop and maintain a risk register, documenting identified risks, mitigation strategies, and follow-up actions to ensure accountability and transparency.Conduct risk analysis on proposed changes to the agency’s IT and business operations, including software implementations, security enhancements, and process improvements.Support enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives, helping the agency integrate risk management into decision-making processes and ensuring risks are effectively managed across all departments.Provide expert recommendations for enhancing the agency’s risk management framework, ensuring risks are minimized while supporting organizational growth and modernization efforts.Facilitate risk management workshops, trainings, and awareness programs to ensure all stakeholders understand their roles in managing risks.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or 8+ years of relevant experience).5-8 years of experience in risk management or related fields, with demonstrated experience supporting risk management in a federal agency or large organization.Strong knowledge of federal risk management frameworks, including NIST SP 800-37, FISMA, OMB A-123, and other relevant guidelines.Experience in developing risk mitigation strategies, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring risk controls for complex programs and projects.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and present clear, actionable risk management reports.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk management initiatives across departments.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).Experience working with risk management tools and software.Experience working in a federal government environment, with familiarity in IT risk management practices.A1FED is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from diverse candidates.
