As a member of the team, you will be working with the DevOps Manager to ensure the delivery of customer value in the DevOps field.This position is a hybrid position located in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Candidates must live in a commutable distance.Responsibilities
The Configuration Release Engineer develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.Writes installation scripts and programs for installation of products.Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process.Compiles and assembles software from source code.Ensures tools are stored in source control.Supports developers for software package registry and delivery.Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.Works with development engineers to correct build errors.Maintain and improve code related to software release creation and deployment.Update and deploy configurations for new sites.Update Puppet/Ansible code as needed.Fix problems related to infrastructure.Deploy, fix, and improve deployment procedures as needed.Provide support to operations teams to ensure the availability of business systems.Manage and advance risks and blockers.Used to working in Agile methodologies.Follow standard methodologies for ensuring the security and protection of our customer's data and business IP.Identify and implement opportunities to automate processes and practices.Qualifications
Education:Associates degree or equivalent experience is required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.Experience:1-5 years of related experience is required.
