Sr. Configuration/Release Engineer

will focus on the build and deploy pipelines for multiple development teams across the project. Initially the support will be “white glove” as we work to mature our development organization and establish refined templates with the goal of moving to self-service in support of our development community.The Sr. Configuration/Release Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Develops, analyzes, and maintains tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.Writes installation scripts and programs for installation of products.Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process.Compiles and assembles software from source code.Ensures tools are stored in source control.Supports developers for software package registry and delivery.Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations, and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.Works with development engineers to correct build errors.Experience and Skills:Experience with build pipeline automation and package tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, etc.Knowledge with security tools in automated pipelines such as SonarQube, Hashicorp Vault, FOSSA, etc.Scripting/Coding using Bash, Python, etc.General knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher.General cloud knowledge in AWS, Azure, and OpenStack.Familiarity with working in a SAFe Agile environment using Atlassian suite of tools such as JIRA and Confluence or some other similar collaboration tools.Desired Skills and Experience:Build pipeline automation using tools such as Atlassian Bamboo or Azure DevOps, Atlassian Bitbucket or GitHub or GitLab and JFrog Artifactory.Expert knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher.Monitor/Dashboarding experience using tools such as Grafana and Graphite.Expert cloud knowledge in AWS, Azure, and OpenStack.#LI-RemoteCompetitive salary based on experience and educationSalary Range: $120,000-$180,000Kratos is valued for our ability to design and deliver leading edge, resilient solutions for aerospace communication, control, awareness and mission success across a continuum of offerings-from commercial to tailored custom solutions and integrated programs.
