Azure Security Engineer

FunctionAs an Azure Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and applications. You’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment.
Responsibilities:
Security Architecture:
Design and implement security architectures in Azure, including network security, identity and access management, and threat management.
Monitoring & Incident Response:
Actively monitor security systems, identify potential threats, and quickly respond to incidents to mitigate security risks.
Configuration Management:
Configure security elements, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other Azure security tools, to ensure a robust security environment.
Risk Assessment:
Perform risk assessments and regular security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities in the environment.
Consulting and Support:
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to guide them in secure software development and management within Azure.
Automation:
Set up security automations using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, such as Bicep, Terraform, or Ansible.
Documentation:
Ensure thorough documentation of security procedures, incidents, and architectures.
Your Profile:
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a security role, with specific expertise in Azure security.
Certifications:
Azure security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, or SC-300 are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Defender.
Experience with network security (VPN, firewall, network segmentation).
Basic knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Bicep, Terraform, Ansible).
Analytical Ability:
Strong analytical skills to quickly identify and solve security issues.
Communication Skills:
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Soft Skills:
Team player who can collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and willingness to work outside office hours if needed.
Consultancy mindset: able to advise and support clients and internal teams on security matters.
