Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems Test – System Architecture Verification Test Analyst (24-352) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

As a member of the Global Solution Team of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Global (aka C2BMC NT), this position will participate in software design and peer reviews, develop test specifications and infrastructure/software architectures under test, provide insight into manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing).

Essential Functions:

Possess experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development.

Strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers.

Experience should include using DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution, planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting.

Analysis experience should involve characterizing system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods, reporting the characterization to subsequent users, and contributing to performance assessment by program system engineers.

Experience may come from independent efforts and participation within test teams.

Basic Qualifications:

An active Top Secret clearance is required to start.

9 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 7 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; or 13 years' experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience with an Agile development process.

Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment.

Requirement and verification analysis.

Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data.

Development of action plans based upon analysis of data.

Documenting software deficiency reports.

Presenting analysis results and action plans orally and in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document).

Understanding of Interface Control Documents and experience verifying interfaces are built correctly.

Work effectively in a small technical team environment and accurately represent test perspectives to C2BMC systems engineers and architects, software designers, other testers, test support personnel, the Government customer, and personnel in other MDA programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly desired.

Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable.

Salary Range:

$109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
