Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal System Software Analyst – Verification Test Engineer (24-231) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

Essential Functions:

Experience with an Agile development process.

Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment.

Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data.

Development of action plans based upon analysis of data.

Documenting software deficiency reports and presenting analysis results and action plans.

Strong verbal/written communication skills to work effectively in a small technical team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

An active Secret clearance is required to start.

5 years' experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM degree or related field; 3 years' experience with a Master’s degree; or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience testing and evaluating a software-intensive system utilizing Agile development.

Strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers.

Experience with DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning, and execution.

Analysis experience involving characterizing system performance using quantitative methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possessing a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is highly desired.

A master’s degree is highly desired.

Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable.

Occasional travel between Colorado Springs facilities is expected.

Salary Range:

$97,500 - $146,300
