The Engineering Science major is an exciting new addition to the College. We seek a candidate with energetic vision, creative thought, and collaborative spirit. .A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Engineering Education, or a closely-related field is preferred; a Master's Degree or higher with relevant professional experience is required. A successful candidate must have a strong interest in teaching a wide range of undergraduate science and engineering-related courses in a liberal arts setting, in mentoring a variety of experiential learning opportunities, and in supporting efforts towards ABET accreditation. Evidence of highly effective classroom teaching or potential of such is required. The likely teaching load includes courses in Statics and Materials Testing, Dynamics, and other supporting courses, along with the development of new civil engineering courses.
