We are seeking passionate individuals for the role of Community Detention Administrator IV. The Community Detention Administrator IV of Community Detention (CD) is responsible for providing administrative supervision of the regional CD operations, including the Community Field Operations, the Command Center, and the GPS/CDRR Rapid Response Teams. The Community Detention Administrator will work directly with the Executive Directors of Safety Services to ensure that departmental goals are met and that CD and GPS standard operating procedures are carried out. The CD Program houses two critical functions: providing direct supervision and surveillance for youth court-ordered into an alternative to detention and placed on home detention, and youth requiring GPS supervision to track movements 24/7 in the community. Both facets of the operation are directly related to public safety, requiring the CD Administrator to work closely with their team to ensure compliance, including periods of On-Call Administrative duties due to the 24/7 operational needs.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience:
Six years of administrative staff or professional work.Notes:Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for five years of the required experience.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures, and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet the minimum and selective qualifications to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications. Candidates for this position must possess one year of experience with CD and GPS Operations.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Three years of experience supervising employees in the performance of work.Three years of experience ensuring CD and GPS standard operating procedures are implemented.Experience providing supervision and guidance to juveniles in a court-ordered community or home detention program.Experience providing supervision and guidance to youth in a juvenile facility or juvenile services community program for at-risk youth.Must possess at least six months or more of experience working in an Administrator role.LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION:
