Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!ResponsibilitiesWork closely with support staff and senior attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representationConfidently handle all aspects of the case, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearingsHelp solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of actionHandle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as neededOrganize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept currentCreate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments and orders for a high volume of casesEnsure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as neededQualificationsGreat negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situationsExperience handling a complex caseload with multiple clientsDemonstrated experience litigating in courtMember in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a caseExperience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is requiredExtra consideration for those with a criminal justice backgroundCompensation$90,000 - $150,000+ yearlyColorado Divorce Law Group prides itself on providing unwavering attention and guidance to our clients.
