Our client is a rapidly growing operator of travel centers, consisting of gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants. With branded C&G assets in the Las Vegas Metro area, and the ability to purchase unbranded fuel through partnerships, we supply over one million gallons of fuel per month to 32 locations. We are expanding across the country, and building out our corporate team to support this growth, ensuring low prices and high service at all of our locations. As part of our nationwide expansion, we are looking for someone to manage key relationships and ensure compliance with licensing requirements in multiple states.
Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced
Licensing Director
to lead the negotiation, creation, and management of all licensing agreements with our brand partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business agreements, alcohol and food licensing, and experience working across multiple states. The Licensing Director will ensure that all locations comply with state regulations, and they will work closely with legal, operational, and executive teams to secure and manage the necessary licenses for our expanding footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate, establish, and manage licensing agreements with key fuel and brand partners.
Lead the development and execution of alcohol and food licensing strategies for convenience stores and travel centers, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.
Manage the end-to-end process for obtaining and renewing licenses required to operate gas stations, convenience stores, and travel centers in multiple states.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and licensing agencies to maintain compliance and resolve any issues.
Oversee all aspects of licensing compliance, ensuring that we meet the legal and regulatory standards for fuel sales, food and beverage services, and other licensing requirements across different markets.
Collaborate with legal and operational teams to ensure that all contracts and agreements meet company standards and state regulations.
Stay updated on changes in state and federal regulations related to licensing, and advise the executive team on potential impacts to operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, legal agreements, or regulatory compliance, preferably within the fuel, retail, or convenience store industry.
Proven track record of negotiating and managing licensing agreements, including alcohol and food licenses.
Experience managing licensing across multiple states, with a strong understanding of state-specific regulatory requirements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple licensing agreements and deadlines.
Familiarity with fuel distribution and retail operations is preferred.
Ability to travel as needed to support licensing efforts in various states.
