SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.This position is part of our Connection Systems segment.Summary:The successful candidate will possess proven world-class experience in managing sales teams through high growth periods. He/She will be recognized for designing and developing organizational capability and talent depth in support of growth. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, sense of urgency and bias for action are unwavering requirements for this role. Ideal candidate will bring to the organization commercial excellence, market intelligence and best in class focus on building and maintaining customer relationships. The preferred candidate has already a robust expertise with major OEMs.Responsibilities:Lead the Regional Account for a major Detroit based OEM for the Connection Systems Product Lines.Support existing business and develop and execute a strategy to capture future global business potential in NA.High level interface with the Product Line Management organization.Senior-level interface to the customer.Lead a team of Account Managers and Application Engineers to drive sales growth.Support the GAD in getting data about NA market and developing a strong regional customer intimacy.Establish proactive communication and relationship promoting confidence and trust.Create and maintain customer response mechanisms to complement local and/or single Product Line processes.Ensure APTIV maximizes its content per vehicle by supporting robust multi-product battle plans that result in profitable and sustainable growth.Enable portfolio decision making (e.g. price and ‘givebacks’) across our Connection Systems portfolio.Manage customer demands through appropriate internal processes to ensure all responses are consistent with our commercial policy.Create and drive deployment of strategic plan for customer through the operation of customer team and interaction with all relevant functions. Regularly report on progress to strategic goals and act to correct deviation/shortfall.Identify business development opportunities.Accountable for customer profitability and revenue growth in the product line.Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)Relevant University Degree.Proven specific customer expertise & product expertise is a key requirement.Experience in leading a sales team in manufacturing or technology industry.Track record in managing complex commercial discussions (auctions, disputes etc.).Track record in establishing customer strategies and increasing revenue/growth.Strong managerial skills, drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.Strong motivation, sense of urgency, high-level of energy and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets.Vision and strong communication skills.Ability to earn trust from subordinates, peers and superiors.Ability to build a high performing team accountable for results.Able to set a strategic direction for the organization to stay ahead of competition.Balanced in strategic thinking and implementation.Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)5+ years of experience leading a sales team.Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.Aptiv Rewards and AdvantagesCompetitive compensation with bonus potential.Learning and development opportunities.Discount programs with various manufacturers and retailers.Recognition for innovation and excellence.Opportunities to give back to the community.Meaningful work that makes a difference in the world.Relocation assistance may be available.Tuition Reimbursement.Paid Time Off (Vacation, Parental leave, etc.).Candidates for positions with Aptiv must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
