Job Summary

The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating educational content based on adult learning theories under the ADDIE model. The Instructional Designer will support large learning initiatives and will also be responsible for determining appropriate learning solutions for smaller independent projects. The Instructional Designer will ensure consistency of training materials relating to company branding and style as well as content accuracy. In addition, this role will serve as a champion of the naviHealth purpose and values by creating a learning environment demonstrative of the naviHealth culture.

Responsibilities

Utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills to develop effective and efficient learning solutions.Analyze and consult on the most effective content design approach and delivery methods using evidence-based practice to ensure alignment to strategy, need, and sustainable learning.Use multimedia technology and authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia to create high-level (virtual) instructor-led and eLearning training programs.Independently develop entry to advanced level courses for both internal and external audiences.Coordinate technical, clinical, and soft skill learning and development through content design and management.Utilize storyboards for conceptualization and collaboration with the L&D Leadership, SMEs, stakeholders and L&D Specialists to ensure effective learning and development design and delivery.Attend internal product, process, and system update sessions and meetings to obtain learning and development needs.Remain current with the methodologies and technologies identified for use in adult education.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business-related field. Master's Degree preferred.3 - 5 years of relevant experience in design and development of instructor-led training, eLearning, blended learning, and assessment solutions.Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of training and development, adult learning theory, curriculum development, needs assessment, and evaluation.Broad knowledge of physical classroom, as well as, web-based virtual classroom and development tool technology applicable to user training.Experience with Virtual Classroom Software, Learning Management Systems, Desktop publishing, and eLearning authoring tools.Excellent attention to detail in grammar and punctuation, visual design and layout, audio accuracy, and effective presentation.
