As a Vice President within the Regulatory Strategy Chief Data & Analytics Office (including AI) Team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing regulatory examinations and engagements related to areas of coverage by the Chief Data and Analytics Office (including AI) (CDAO).
You will be responsible for collaborating with senior leaders of the Firm globally to provide strategic advice and handle regulatory examinations and other engagements conducted by the FRB, OCC, FDIC and other banking regulators that impact the CDAO.
You will report to the Regulatory Engagement Manager (REM) for the Regulatory Strategy Chief Data & Analytics Office (including AI) Team and will be responsible for supporting coverage and accountability for the CDAO regulatory engagements globally. This includes working directly with regulators and internal stakeholders; leading and coordinating the Firm’s responses to exams, questionnaires, and targeted reviews; fielding and coordinating responses to ad-hoc regulatory inquiries; chairing regulatory meetings; and developing reports for senior management.
Job responsibilities
Lead regulatory examinations impacting the CDAO through the entire exam lifecycle, as well as ongoing monitoring engagements
Support relationship with the Firm’s regulators, directly in the US, and through coordination with regional Regulatory Strategy teams globally
Escalate issues that arise in the course of engagements promptly and effectively
Manage and oversee reports, briefings and analysis on CDAO engagements, outstanding issues, and emerging risks.
Provide support and coordination for all regulatory engagements that impact the CDAO coverage areas both for internal stakeholders and the regulators.
Provide support to the lines of business and corporate functions stakeholders regarding engagements with regulators.
Drive collaboration between the lines of business and corporate functions’ global communication around regulatory themes (e.g., AI/ML/data) and related focus coverage areas.
Partner with the lines of business and corporate functions globally to achieve timely and sustainable resolution of CDAO regulatory issues.
Maintain thorough and accurate records of exams in progress, recurring meetings, and MIS reporting provided to regulators
Oversee and coordinate content of presentation materials for regulatory engagements
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
7+ years of relevant experience, including experience at a large financial institution or regulator, consulting or legal firm
Background or experience in risk management
A strong track record of managing relationships at a senior level
Superior communication skills, including active listening and the ability to capture and deliver key takeaways from engagements in writing
Knowledge of and experience with regulators’ exam processes and regulatory matters
Ability to perform under pressure and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
Attention to detail and commitment to doing quality work in a comprehensive manner
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Work experience in cyber, technology, cloud, AI/ML, innovation/new technologies is preferred.
