POSITION SUMMARY:Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS) has recently stood up a new community physician organization—BMCAP. BMCHS is looking for a Senior Director of Finance to provide executive-level leadership and financial management enabling the organization to achieve operational, financial, and strategic goals and initiatives. The Senior Director will oversee the development and implementation of financial systems, technologies, and processes, and will be responsible for directing the finance and accounting functions for BMCAP, including integration and supervision of staff and operations in BMCAP General Accounting, Treasury, and Financial Reporting functions, as well as administering the provider compensation and incentive models.Position:

Full TimeESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:Direct the development and implementation of financial planning, budgeting, and accounting operations of BMCAP, including accurate financial statements at the service line and consolidated level.Serve as a primary resource and liaison between BMCHS and BMCAP leadership in financial operations, strategy, and management.Responsible for all regulatory and financial external reporting requirements.Present all financial performance results to relevant stakeholders.Lead financial planning associated with provider recruitment and community provider development.Lead design and implementation of new physician compensation strategy.Manage the development of the institution funding framework between BMCHS and BMCAP.Develop and implement BMCAP’s long-range financial goals and execute strategic plans focused on financial performance.Direct the maintenance and preparation of the general ledger, accounts payable, and treasury functions for BMCAP.Direct the generation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with the monthly close calendar.Direct the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range forecasts for BMCAP.Monitor the monthly BMCAP payroll file and fringe calculation.Assess and recommend changes to financial reports to enhance overall data communication.Direct the inter-company billing and monthly settlement process.Hold regular meetings with Revenue Cycle counterparts regarding A/R and reimbursement issues.Communicate and maintain relationships with external and internal auditors.Supervise team personnel including mentoring, goal setting, and training.JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:None required. CPA preferred.EXPERIENCE:A minimum of ten years in healthcare financial management experience required.Experience as a finance leader within a physician organization or health system is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):Analytical skills and ability to apply GAAP in a nonprofit acute care environment.Understanding of various financial methodologies with expert knowledge in physician organizations.Experience with the design and administration of physician compensation and incentive programs.Ability to advise and educate management on financial impacts.Superior computer experience on a General Ledger System (Infor) and other software.Demonstrated leadership skills in finance policy development and communication.Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.Strong qualitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.Industry knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, trends, and market dynamics.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/VeteransOur People
