We want to work with people who share our values, and we hope this could be you!Bizzell seeks a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III to support our client, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Program Office, and the Office of Chief Counsel. The incumbent will support and conduct legal, factual research, and analysis-related duties supporting the DOT team.Supervisory Responsibilities:
NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Perform conventional research, fact-finding, and problem-solving methods, and analyze factors to make recommendations.Identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes, and other pertinent material.Review and edit DOT legal forms and documents for accuracy.Build and maintain database files.Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.Attend meetings and take minutes that are clear and error-free.Adapt to deadlines and changing priorities.Required Skills/Abilities:Accurate typing of at least 60 wpm.Highly proficient in the use of current Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype, SharePoint, Findlaw, Westlaw, and current web browsers (i.e., Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, automated administrative tracking management systems, and other work-related data systems.Highly proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation, preparation, and proofreading all standard/executive level office correspondence, reports, presentations, or legal documents.Excellent tracking and organizational skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must present complex topics to senior officials and external partners clearly and concisely.Motivated, innovative, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Able to produce excellent work products with limited oversight.Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships and partnerships within the Federal government and the communities that DOT serves.Communicate effectively with DOT staff and clients, build rapport, and encourage a collaborative environment where information is shared.Education and Experience:Five (5) years of experience performing Paralegal duties without day-to-day direction.Experience and background in general law and legislation.Experience supporting senior-level managers.Bachelor’s degree.
