Staff Accountant, Sales Audit
to join our Accounting department and work at our Bethesda, Maryland office. You will support the Cash Receipts functions, filing sales and use tax returns, journal entries, and month-end related reconciliations. You will report to the Sales Audit Manager.You will
Develop knowledge base in company cash receipts and accounting systems and participate in system testing and enhancements during anticipated future system conversionReconcile store cash, check, and credit card depositsCommunicate with customers, both internal and external to the Company, regarding cash related itemsPrepare period sales and use tax returns and reconcile corresponding general ledger accountsPrepare weekly interface of sales and cash receipts from store-based system (Balance) into accounting (Lawson) systemReconciliation and analysis of relevant general ledger accountsResearch, respond, and reconcile chargebacksReconcile company proprietary gift card balances and activitiesYou will come with
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience3+ years’ experience in accountingBank reconciliation or cash analysis experience a plusPrior general ledger account reconciliation experience desiredPrior knowledge with data extraction and manipulation desiredExperience in Lawson desiredWe offer
