Be a part of a charitable, mission-driven organization that works for individual and community well-being for all, for a better us.As a Y Executive Director, you will be responsible for the daily operations of one or more Y Family Centers. You will provide leadership in the areas of associate hiring, supervision and development, volunteer management, fiscal management, financial development, membership and program administration, facility & equipment stewardship, community relations and personal-professional development. You will develop, implement and monitor long-range plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall Y objectives. You will be responsible for leading and growing Family Center operations of 3400+ household membership units and a combined budget of $2.8 million. As a Y Executive Director, you’ll contribute to the Y and to the broader community we serve by creating experiences that help people feel a greater sense of health and well-being, purpose, acceptance and belonging.This work is right for you if you have:A love of wellness and peopleThe ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associatesPrior experience supervising a 3000+ unit YMCA or related health & wellness center that provides services for all agesAt least five years of prior experience successfully managing Health & Wellness, recreation, and youth programming field, preferably in a Y or similar organizationA proven track record in business operations including producing growth and strong financial managementA bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Management, Business Administration or equivalentThe Y in Central Maryland provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
