POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Senior Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director of Youth and Family Programming is responsible for providing Cause-Driven management and operations focused around youth and family center programming (birth to middle school; ages 0-12 years old) and Stay/Play Services). The AED will also play a role in site operations, annual support campaign, associate development, and general center leadership. Day to day operations include associate supervision, support fiscal control, program development, program area facility management/maintenance, program/services optimization and fulfillment, and volunteer development. The AED is also responsible for supporting the family centers hiring, training, supervising, and leading their associate team in superior levels of member service and engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• In coordination with Family centers: plan, develop, and execute high standards and engagement in Stay/Play Centers within our association guidelines.• In coordination with Family Centers support and plan along with program directors and execute family and youth programming to scale across all family centers.• In coordination with Sr. Executive Director of Teen experience, support Leaders Club, youth and government and teen programming.• Develop, grow, and execute Core Programs/Services as directed by Association guidelines.• Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities.• Recruit, hire, train, lead, and coach talented program associates and volunteers in all areas of responsibility• Create opportunities for Youth to form small communities and build meaningful relationships; targeted to drive member retention and engagement for Youth and Families• Foster an environment that is positive and motivating to families, children, and peers.• Work within assigned budget in all areas of responsibility• Support in the budget process as assigned• Maintain high quality standards adhering to or surpassing state licensing where applicable, and care and maintenance of program facility and equipment• Effectively coordinate facility usage for assigned programs and activities• Plan, develop, direct and monitor an effective system of communication with program and management associates regarding progress, plans and problems• Develop, produce and distribute program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with center and/or Association marketing plans.• Ensure high quality programs through innovative program development and participant/member feedback.• Implement Association best practices and policies as it relates to operations including purchasing, payroll, reporting, business management, record keeping• Participate in successful annual support campaign and provide leadership to associate giving and engagement• Attend and actively participate in all meetings as assigned• Incorporate the four character values of the Y: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility and adhere to the Y Code of Conduct• Communicate the Y mission and objectives to the community.• All other duties as assigned.• Assist in all other areas as assigned.
