JOB DESCRIPTIONTreasury / Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) could be described as JP Morgan Chase in miniature. Nearly every aspect of business at JP Morgan Chase is functionally represented and visible from the roles within the Corporate Treasury & Chief Investment Office. Each subject offered at an academic depth and breadth of scope only possible in a GSIB Financial institution; from trading to technology, research to reporting, strategy to systemic risk management.

TCIO is responsible for firm’s balance sheet management, asset & liability strategy, trading and issuance related to hedging & corporate actions, trading and issuance to manage the firm's funding and liabilities, aggregating and managing the firm’s liquidity and interest rate risk, managing the risk weighted asset and capital measurement processes, reporting and engagement with global regulators, establishing funds transfer pricing policy, and aggregating Legal Entity and Line-of-Business Treasury functions into one centralized firmwide view. In turn we employ the product, operations, technology, innovation, controls, finance, and business management functions that support that business activity.

The Intraday Liquidity (IDL) function sits within Corporate Treasury and predominantly leverages a proprietary application of the same name, Intraday Liquidity (IDL), to look after all of the firm’s global cash & payments activity. The IDL Corporate Treasury Middle Office team (CTMO) oversees the product ownership and end-to-end platform management that provides that intraday transparency. The team and application function as a payments technology application start-up within the confines of JP Morgan as a company, with the firm itself as our primary client. The team interacts with global regulators, clearing houses, Financial Market Infrastructures & Utilities, Wholesale Payments Technology, Treasury Funding, IDL Management, Liquidity Strategy, Liquidity Management, Liquidity Risk Management, and the lines-of-business teams to develop and maintain the Intraday capability. The IDL Product team invests the bulk of its time in the design, development, & delivery of new solutions within the Intraday application and Treasury function.

As an Product Owner, Vice President, in the Intraday Liquidity Product Owner team within T/CIO, you will be a key member of the global IDL team led from New York, partnering with the wider global funding team on managing intraday liquidity, and driving targeted projects to enhance the firm’s capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need a basic understanding of funding & money markets & a capacity to learn quickly along the way. You should possess knowledge of the payments landscape and infrastructures, as well as curiosity on the way money moves around the world. The team focuses on operations with central banks across +16 currencies; USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, MXN, BRL, HKD, CNH, AUD, MYR, PHP, SGD, ZAR, IDR, THB, TRY, ARS etc. This knowledge combined with advanced project management skills, creativity, and high level of organization will be leveraged daily to deliver new application features in a zero to one fashion.

As an Americas Product Owner, you will function as a regional executive leader managing the Americas book of work, stakeholders, and controls framework execution. It requires curiosity and a desire to understand funding & money markets, the payments landscape and infrastructures, and operations with central banks specifically for the Western Hemisphere currencies; USD, MXN, BRL, CLP, COP, ARS etc. This knowledge will be leveraged daily to maintain and enhance IDL. Amongst the approximately 1,000 IDL end users, the primary partners for this role are the global heads of treasury, Treasury Funding, Line of Business Treasury teams, Liquidity Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Operational Risk, Wholesale Payments Operations, Cash Account Management and Technology teams. The Product Owner function sits within middle office roles facing off with stakeholders predominantly in Treasury’s front office.

These partner teams, and the IDL team, are globally distributed therefore the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with remote stakeholders and contributors across time zones is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

Own the Americas region and its book of work within the IDL application, focusing on all things USD & LatAm.

Own Intraday demand from global sub-products centered around USD like Systemically Important Payments & Short Term Cash Flow Forecasting.

Prioritize all initiatives in the region and shaping the user experience from data sourcing to user interface aesthetics.

Drive enhancements to the IDL application through SDLC, agile prioritization, requirements gathering, testing, and presenting enhancements to senior stakeholder audiences.

Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders to understand the evolving payments landscape.

Lead projects end-to-end, working with cross-functional partners across areas of improvement to propose and implement solutions.

Use analytical frameworks, data visualization, and data sourcing tools to help articulate problems at hand, facilitate alignment across multiple partners, and reach relevant, actionable answers to challenging and ambiguous problems.

Access and manipulate large databases of payments data to perform analytical due diligence to identify problems, design solutions, and provide requirements to technology.

Leverage creativity and ability to “see around corners” to remove roadblocks and take advantage of opportunities.

Support the execution of the program strategy, including but not limited to analyzing existing standards and operating model budget & business management, supporting the implementation of the target state operating model on various business use cases.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

5+ years of experience in foreign exchange, payments, treasury, consulting, business operations, finance, or a fin-tech/start-up environment.

Bachelors’ degree required.

Experience with data analytics, SQL, python, Tableau, or similar.

Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Skills.

Strong relationship builder who can tailor communication style and substance to your audience.

Strong project mindset, able to identify solutions and execute to conclusion.

Quantitative and analytical skills, well adapted to working with and sourcing data, prioritizing attention to detail to ensure its quality.

Organized, self-motivated, driven and able to work individually and collaboratively.

Understand how a business operates and can quickly synthesize information, distill key points, and make connections that lead to innovative business solutions.

Work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Comfortable presenting to a wide spectrum of seniority.
