The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operations management and business development, preferably in sporting goods, retail and e-commerce. The COO will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive process improvement initiatives, manage organizational change, and ensure operational efficiency across all departments.
Duties
Supervise and lead operational teams to achieve organizational goals.
Develop and implement effective business strategies and processes.
Forecast operational needs and allocate resources accordingly.
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Manage project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
Oversee change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions during organizational shifts.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or in operations people management.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful initiative execution.
Ability to forecast operational needs and develop actionable plans.
Experience in change management practices and methodologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
