Vice President, Strategy Acceleration
As the Vice President, Strategy Acceleration, you will be instrumental in driving high-impact growth and efficiency initiatives at Heritage Environmental Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO), you will collaborate with operations, commercial teams, and functional departments on a variety of strategic initiatives including operational and commercial excellence, organizational redesign, post-merger integration, and digital transformation.
Keys to success in this transversal role include a strong ability to lead by influence, build trust-based relationships, and collaborate effectively with leaders and teams across the company.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
Builds and leads a high-performing team of project managers, analysts, and subject matter experts (SMEs)
Delivers high-impact projects across the organization including Company Full Potential Plan (FPP) initiatives, post-merger integration (PMI), reorganization, pricing, and digital transformation
Defines and institutionalizes the organization's approach to project management and change management
Supports the CSTO and Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) in identifying and prioritizing high-impact projects to align resource deployment with corporate strategies and FPP goals
Engages with CSTO, SLT, and Transformation Office on resource needs, roadblocks, risks, and successes related to project implementation
Performs regular tracking and reporting on the status and performance of strategic projects and initiatives
Delivers measurable EBITDA impact through projects focused on operational efficiency, commercial performance, functional optimization, and organizational agility
Provides post-merger integration support to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team; defines and institutionalizes the organizational approach to PMI and participates in due diligence activities as needed
Collaborates with the M&A team to build business cases for M&A opportunities, offering PMI and operational excellence perspectives, including potential risks or obstacles.
Supports acquisition integration, ensuring the delivery of financial targets, synergies, and due diligence
Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education:
Bachelor's degree (required)
MBA (highly preferred)
Experience:
7+ years of experience in project management or business transformation of relevant size and scale (required)
Proven track record in delivering efficiency improvements and growth initiatives (required)
Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing, agile teams (required)
Experience in organizational redesign and post-merger integration (preferred)
Experience in environmental industry or in industrial production and process industries (preferred)
Competencies:
Prior experience leading a high-performing team and delivery of tangible results
Strategic thinking skills to translate business objectives into actionable plans
Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage large, complex projects, prioritize tasks, and influence key stakeholders
Capability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and within budget
Expertise in continuous improvement, structure optimization, and performance framework implementation using a data-driven approach
Strong understanding of M&A and PMI processes and best practices
Regular and predictable attendance to consistently perform the vital functions and requirements of this role, contributing to our ongoing success
