Branch Manager
at our
Anchorage, Alaska
warehouse. The Branch Manager is primarily responsible for Operations, including all warehouse personnel and distribution/receiving, but will also be involved in some Sales. The Branch Manager plans and monitors optimal space utilization and efficient inventory flow and manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs as a true first-level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones and sales goals are met while adhering to approved budgets. The Branch Manager is committed to the company’s success while upholding East Penn Company policies and culture.
Estimated salary range:
$90,000 - $105,000
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
Responsibilities
Responsible for warehouse management/staffing, and general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of warehouse equipment, delivery vehicles, and facilities.
Management of all warehouse, driver, and office personnel.
Works in conjunction with the District Manager and all other branch employees to achieve a growing, profitable, and operationally efficient Branch.
Has full authority for personnel actions and extensive knowledge of all department processes.
Manage, direct, and treat all employees in a professional manner in order to produce a positive and compatible work environment for warehouse, office, driver, and sales personnel.
Conduct monthly meetings with warehouse members.
Involved in the interviewing and hiring of all warehouse personnel (excluding sales).
Ensure that Company Code of Conduct is implemented and disciplinary action is taken when necessary for all branch personnel (excluding sales) with support from East Penn Personnel Department.
Teaching and/or doing all branch, office, and warehouse functions including but not limited to:
Office Functions: customer contact, computer operations, sales ordering and processing, handling of cash transactions and deposits, payroll, etc.
Warehouse Functions: ordering of product for distribution and all inventory control functions
Placement of product in the warehouse in an orderly manner for efficiency.
Pulling, processing, and checking orders for customers.
Receiving and processing new product.
Maintaining freshly charged and clean product for distribution.
Proper processing and control of all returns from customers including new product, rotations, adjustments, and junks.
Accurate loading and unloading of all delivery vehicles.
Monthly counting, processing, checking, and balancing of all warehouse product.
Driver/Delivery Functions:
Learn and follow all applicable DOT regulations for drivers and products.
Routing of vehicles for daily delivery of product.
Familiarity with and enforcement of Drivers Code of Conduct.
Focus on all driver and customer contacts.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
Supervisory experience preferred.
5 - 7 years related experience.
Extensive knowledge of department processes.
Education/Certification
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
