The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location:
Salary range: $155,567.00 to $194,459.00
The Senior Manager - Offshore Projects (Main Electrical Equipment Package Manager) will be responsible for the delivery of the Main Electrical Equipment Package for New England Wind Project. The selected candidate will manage multi-million-dollar contracts ($800+M in NEW) to secure the delivery of the relevant assets. This includes overseeing the design, manufacturing, factory testing, shipment, onshore installation, onshore commissioning, preparation for sea transport, and offshore installation and commissioning at relevant Project Sites.
Main Purpose of Job
The Senior Manager - Offshore Projects is a critical role within the Offshore Business focusing on the delivery of one Key Package. The individual will work as part of a multicultural and multinational team in the management of contracts worth more than a billion dollars.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Project Leadership Team, responsible for defining delivery strategies, tendering, negotiating, managing offshore delivery contracts, and ensuring quality, best practices, and excellent H&SE performance are applied.
The position may require frequent travel to various locations overseas and during development, contracting, and delivery of the key package.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery of key work scopes within the Key Package, including coordination of key interfaces and management of stakeholders.
Ensure Key Package is delivered on time, to budget and quality, observing the highest industry practices and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Implement offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices, and quality requirements for large scale Key Package construction.
Define, implement and resource the appropriate organization structure for managing the delivery of the Key Package.
Manage the Key Package delivery team across multiple countries to ensure project execution with intelligent and cost-effective resourcing.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders including legal, commercial, financial, technical, and corporate functions.
Oversee handover of the Key Package from delivery to O&M.
Provide input on bid levels, programme strategies, and commercial agreements to maximize value.
Provide strategic delivery advice, risk assessment, and recommendations to the business.
Work with the HSE team to develop HSE strategy for Key Package delivery and ensure high standards of health and safety awareness.
Carry out any other duties as directed by the Department Manager or EPC Director.
Capture and share lessons learned regarding offshore delivery across different offshore packages.
Key Criteria
General skills, knowledge and experience
10+ years of proven project management experience within a delivery-oriented environment.
Experience and skills in managing teams in an international environment.
Ability to manage people effectively to deliver required outputs in a timely manner.
Experience in offshore windfarm, marine works, or oil and gas delivery and marine operations.
Experience in tendering processes, contract negotiations, and commercial delivery of multi-million contracts.
Sound relationship management skills and confidence working with senior project managers.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage key packages and contracts requiring coordination with multiple disciplines.
Position specific requirements
Master’s degree in relevant Engineering Field (desirable Electrical Engineering).
Relevant experience in EHV main electrical equipment.
Demonstrable experience in offshore substation works (MEQ integration).
