The Associate Director Global Supplier Quality Management (SQM) has overall responsibility for the Global Supplier Quality Program. The program is designed to meet regulatory requirements in managing both Direct and Indirect suppliers who have an impact on product quality. The Global SQM has responsibilities primarily focused on the management of suppliers supporting Bio Rad Manufacturing and Logistics sites worldwide. Responsible for Supplier Quality Management functions. Manages the supply base to ensure materials consistently meet specifications and quality requirements. Oversees the supply base supporting Bio Rad manufactured products, starting with selection and onboarding of suppliers, continuing assessment of performance and management of supply risk. Oversees Supplier Quality team that investigates, analyzes, and resolves supplier quality problems through conducting audits and analyzing defect trends.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
Global responsibility for the Supplier Quality Program. Establishes strategies and goals for the Company’s Supplier Quality Program.
Sets Global priorities to meet internal stakeholder requirements for on-time delivery of materials meeting quality requirements and proactively adapt to changing market and customer needs.
Manages the Global Supplier Quality Program, meeting applicable requirements in support of the business. Responsible to maintain Supplier Quality Program documentation, procedures, policies, and records.
Oversees supplier quality and compliance audit programs including new supplier qualification process.
Evaluate the existing supply base for improvement opportunities that align with strategy, cost reductions, regulatory, compliance, sustainability, and other requirements.
Develop and execute strategic plans to improve our supplier quality, delivery, and costs on a global basis.
Resolving problems, identifying trends, and deciding system improvements.
Manages supplier compliance activities including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), REACH (Restriction, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals), supplier diversity, sustainability, etc.
Manages Quality Supplier Risk Assessment Program (QSRAP) to identify supply base risks.
Executes supplier risk mitigation program to ensure compliance with both external and internal regulations.
Responsible for talent development and employee training and adherence to Purchasing Policies.
What You Bring:
Education: BS degree in Engineering, Business, or supply chain management. MS or MBA degree desirable.
Work Experience: 12+ years of experience in supply chain management, quality, compliance, and regulatory.
5+ years of management experience or a leadership role in managing project teams.
Experience in medical devices, life science, clinical diagnostics, and/or Biotech products highly desirable.
Working experience and knowledge of ERP, SAP preferred.

Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $169,000 to $233,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
