The System Administration Compliance & Ethics Program advances the UNT System’s commitment to excellence by partnering with UNT System Administration employees and departments to promote ethical, honest, and lawful decision-making and conduct. Compliance is excellence.
Position Overview:
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for leading a comprehensive compliance program for the activities that occur at System Administration and for leading coordination among campus compliance programs. The CCO provides guidance and advice to senior management and staff on compliance matters, monitors, and reports on compliance performance, conducts investigations and compliance reviews, and develops and ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. The CCO works closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as legal counsel, regulators, auditors, and clients, to promote a positive compliance culture and reputation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, accounting, or related field; ten years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or legal roles, preferably in a large and complex organization; and Professional certification in compliance, such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) or ability to obtain within one year of hire; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
