The City of Webster's Information Technology Department has an immediate opportunity for an IT Director who is a strategic leader, a problem solver, and service oriented.The purpose of this position is to lead the city's information technology (IT) department, including the management of cyber security, building security, network infrastructure, hardware and software, communication systems (email and phones), and related computer functions. This position is required to strategically and effectively assess, budget, plan, and execute information technology projects. The position establishes and maintains adequate redundancy and recovery for all IT-related systems. The position manages an IT administration staff of four (4) and coordinates with other department heads to identify needs and prioritize projects. This position is responsible for IT functions in all administrative and public safety departments.

n im u m Qua li fic a ti o ns:
A bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science is preferred, and five (5) years of information technology experience is preferred. Years of information technology experience may be substituted for a degree.
Experience in a governmental entity is preferred, with knowledge of federal and state C.J.I.S. requirements, including the role of Organizational Personnel with Security Responsibilities (previously LASO).
Preferred Certifications: C.J.I.S., A+, Network+, Security+, Project+, ITIL Foundation, CCNA,
Essential Job Functions:
Leads information technology and cyber security processes and personnel across departments.
Establishes computer system hardware and software specifications by analyzing departmental needs, providing professional advice and recommendations regarding computer system procurements, and ensuring application software and hardware meet the city's short and long-term needs.
Develops and maintains redundancy and disaster recovery plans.
Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots computer hardware and software. Manages IT work order processes and personnel.
Develops and executes ongoing training for new and updated software and hardware packages.
Secures information technology solutions to support goals, objectives, and requirements.
