Make your impact by exploring a career with the world’s leading Medical Device company, striving “to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.”Responsibilities:Direct the work of software engineers at various levels in their career.Define technology roadmaps in consultation with technical leaders.Work with global and other location teams to foster a strong sense of collaboration.This role will be responsible for all Software deliverables across the Software development life cycle.Recruit, groom, and coach Software engineers in their career aspirations.Collaborate with other functions – Electrical, Mechanical, QA, Program Management office as applicable.Participate in Medtronic-wide initiatives as appropriate.Oversee activities of the company’s development and design requirements for software systems, applications, and software quality assurance for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools, to meet current and future Software needs.Manage activities to assure programs are appropriately resourced and ensure continuous improvement in technical capability, process, and compliance.Manage scope, cost, and schedule within a cross-functional development team.Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience,Or advanced degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Nice to HaveExposure to embedded, real-time operating system (RTOS) applications, general software development.Experience in leading a high-performance software development team in the R&D environment.Good exposure to AI/ML-based technologies.Agile methodology and mindset.Medical device industry experience.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
