Program Specialists are responsible for supporting the successful implementation of all Child and Family Well-being grants and initiatives. Under direct supervision, the Program Specialist works with program officers and funded agency staff.Essential functions of this position include:Provide administrative support to grant-making and compliance processes.Prepare and process grant documents for program officers.Manage logistics for meetings, community events, and trainings.Maintain effective community relations and communications.Use information management techniques to manage records/documents.Compile and summarize quarterly reports and program data.Provide technical assistance to funded programs.Support staff in developing annual scopes of work and budgets.Assist with compliance activities and data management.Participate in joint fiscal and compliance monitoring processes.Other duties as assigned.This position will require some evening and weekend meetings, including travel regionally and nationally.Minimum QualificationsPossession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of relevant experience; ORPossession of a baccalaureate degree with a relevant major AND one (1) year of relevant experience; ORPossession of a Master's degree in a relevant field; ORPossession of a Ph.D. or Juris Doctor degree.Special Conditions : Twelve (12) months of experience with program development focused on strengthening families and early care and education.Desirable QualificationsTwo (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.Experience in providing technical and/or administrative support.Strong project and time management skills.Excellent writing and verbal skills.Bi-lingual skills preferred.Ability to physically lift boxes (up to 25 lbs).HOW TO APPLYApplications are accepted only through an online process.Type "9772" into the search field.Click the link to open the Job Announcement.Select the “Apply Now” button and follow instructions.The City and County of San Francisco encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
