Major new developments are done with an agile project management approach while some smaller changes are simply addressed with service tickets. Initial projects will address the need for re-platforming legacy applications to new cloud-based solutions. Know that your efforts working in this team will indirectly or directly impact the lives of residents of Connecticut.Qualifications & RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCESix (6) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software development or another IT-related support area.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCEOne (1) year of the General Experience must have been performing professional information technology work in such areas as: installation and support of microcomputer hardware, software and operating systems; analysis, design and development of information systems; network hardware and software installation and support; network hardware and/or software problem diagnosis and resolution; performing any closely related professional IT function.NOTE:
For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Information Technology Analyst 1.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED- College training in management information systems, computer science or information technology-related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.- A Master's degree in management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
