If you can work well in one or more of those areas, we are looking for you. As part of this position, you will be expected to cross train with other Applications Developers in all of our technologies, to eventually be able to competently work on any application for which we have the source code. Major new developments are done with an agile project management approach while some smaller changes are simply addressed with service tickets. Initial projects will address the need for re-platforming legacy applications to new cloud-based solutions. Know that your efforts working in this team will indirectly or directly impact the lives of residents of Connecticut.Qualifications & RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCESix (6) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software development or another IT-related support area.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCEOne (1) year of the General Experience must have been performing professional information technology work in such areas as: installation and support of microcomputer hardware, software and operating systems; analysis, design and development of information systems; network hardware and software installation and support; network hardware and/or software problem diagnosis and resolution; performing any closely related professional IT function.NOTE:

For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Information Technology Analyst 1.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED- College training in management information systems, computer science or information technology-related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.- A Master's degree in management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
