www.ucihealth.org.Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:Incumbent is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical therapeutic and related work in Radiation Oncology, multispecialty suite, front and back office staff. Works closely with the Medical Center administration and clinic physicians to ensure seamless operation between all activities of the School of Medicine and Medical Center related to directing and evaluating patient care activities, assisting with teaching and research, managing clinical resources, developing and administering operational & capital budgets, and developing & monitoring organizational policy / procedures. As needed, will perform the full range of radiation therapy procedures and complex specialized procedures.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobFive (5) year's work experience in an acute care radiation oncology environment, with some progressive supervisory/leadership experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDemonstrated knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, radiation physics, radiobiology, radiation protection, anatomy and positioningBachelor's degree in Healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceAbility to safely and accurately operate the radiation therapy equipment, linear accelerators, simulators and computersAbility to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environmentAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemPreferred Qualifications:Previous supervisory experienceExperience in radiation therapy residents training programs/student trainingExperience in dosimetryExperience in developing new procedures/programs for radiation oncology practicesExperience in computer informatics/networking associated with radiation oncology practicesCurrent BLS certificationBilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or VietnameseConditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
