This position requires attention to detail with the ability to perform various tasks efficiently and accurately. The candidate must ensure all state and local regulations are followed that support equity and access to high-quality early childhood education for all children. The ideal candidate should have a friendly demeanor, a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for children, families, and staff. The Executive Director is responsible for the administrative and pedagogical leadership of the Center including, but not limited to staff supervision, policy implementation, curriculum development, and parent engagement. The Executive Director will collaborate with the site and education coordinator to oversee a team of teachers and support staff. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of administrative, educational, operational, financial, and logistical functions in accordance with State of Rhode Island Department of Human Services Childcare licensing regulations and RWDCC operating policies and procedures.Qualifications:Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development; or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 24 units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education including core courses in Child/Human Growth and Development: Child, Family and Community and Program/Curriculum. Two years teaching experience preferred.Must complete DCYF CANTS clearance, Comprehensive Background Check, obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment, and complete DHS/CELP Health and Safety training within 90 days of employment.How To Apply:Required documents listed below must be submitted directly to Phyllis H.
