The candidate will be assigned to the VTC team and serve as a VOIP Engineer Lead focusing on supporting customer requests and on the requests for VTC related tasks.Role and Responsibilities
Provide nationwide video conference operation and support services to 7 modes within the US Department of Transportation.Summary:Leads a multimedia team on day to day operations of VTC/multimedia platforms. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots video conferencing hardware, software, and multiple collaborative technologies for the United States Department of Transportation. Works as the primary integration specialist for Zoom Rooms, allowing Teams, Polycom, and Zoom to operate simultaneously in real time meetings. Developed the process to allow complex integrations to work seamlessly for the DOT customer. Provides necessary reporting on collaborative high visibility meeting performance.Duties:Analyzes and develops VOIP networks, designing and planning installation and maintenance of VOIP systems from project inception to conclusion. Manages H.323/SIP and other VTC technologies including but not limited to Zoom, MS TEAMS, ensures proper integration and communication of those systems with the VOIP network.Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience required.Research, test, and configure SIP/H.323 devices (provisioned as managed rooms) with room resource calendars, allowing one-touch joining for Zoom meetings.Maintain and troubleshoot all video conference and AV systems for DOT headquarters and nearly 200 field offices.Maintain and troubleshoot DOT video conference infrastructure equipment including Poly DMAs, RPRMs, RPCSs, and RPADs.High Priority qualifications, skills, experience, certifications2+ years of related experience managing Voice Networks.VOIP knowledge and experience.VTC technologies experience.Zoom and MS TEAMS knowledge and experience.Preferred Skills
Poly, Cisco VTC codec configuration and troubleshooting.AMX, Crestron control programming.AV switch, biamp DSP configuration and troubleshooting.IP network knowledge.ADDITIONAL NOTES
US Citizen or Green Card Holder. Ability to attain a Public Trust clearance.
