Overview and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the university’s software application repository (heavily focused on our SIS and CRM) by implementing best practices and ensuring proper staffing and effective management of the application team. The Director of Enterprise Applications will also plan and coordinate the processes required to deliver user applications and systems essential for business operations. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, this individual will provide guidance and support to user groups on issues related to mission-critical information and software systems.Manage and provide direction for the application team to support university processesCoordinate with module managers to prioritize projects and ensure timely completionWork closely with module managers to ensure alignment and consistency in processesGather user feedback to continuously enhance and upgrade our systemsSupport quality assurance efforts, process logic optimization, and data processing activitiesEnsure applications meet business and end user requirementsIdentify and resolve system issues, including daily troubleshooting, project integrations, and implementing programming changesEnsure compliance with rules established by data governanceAssess, install, configure, and deploy new applications, system software, products, and upgrades or enhancements to existing applications across the universityCreate and distribute training materials and documentation for end users, conduct training sessions as neededManage good working relationships with vendorsOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Strong leadership skills to guide multiple committees and teamsEffective communication and interaction with a diverse community of faculty, students, and staffProficient in project management, including task prioritization and resource management to meet deadlinesSQL programming skillsAbility to foster a cohesive and collaborative team environmentStrong creative problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and commitment to follow-throughSkillful at managing multiple priorities and competing time demandsProficient in using and interpreting job-related terminologyCapable of working independently as well as part of a teamWillingness to provide occasional off-hour and weekend support for special eventsAbility to travel between campus locationsApplication Requirements:
