Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
TRC is seeking a
Service Team Leader
(STL) to lead TRC's
Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) Services
within a specified geographic region of the country. The selected PSM/RMP STL will work collaboratively with other PSM/RMP STLs and the National Director of EHS Services to lead the technical development, work practices/standards/tools, strategic growth, marketing materials, key client account expansion, and execution of
PSM - RMP Services.
This individual may work from varied locations in the country.
Responsibilities:
Technical/regulatory leader for the
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services
within a specified geographic region.
Develops, implements, and maintains a strategy and execution plan for delivering
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services
to our key client/ targeted new client growth account program.
Establishes, maintains, and improves upon our branding, marketing, and sales materials for the delivery of
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services .
Supports our Communications and Marketing Team's activities regarding digital media campaigns and website content for
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services .
Establishes, maintains, and improves work standards, practices, and tools for the efficient delivery, thoroughness, and quality of
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services .
Mentors and coaches project managers and project consultants for growth and delivery of
Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services
as part of a national delivery platform.
Project and Client Specific Activities may include:
Performing Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and Facility Siting Analysis.
Conduct/lead PSM and RMP compliance audits to evaluate applicability and conformance with applicable PSM and RMP requirements.
Establishing management system design, development, and implementation to specific standards to manage and control EHS risks.
Developing and implementing written PSM - RMP programs (e.g., employee training, PHAs, operating procedures, mechanical integrity, etc.).
Developing and supporting PSM - RMP training program content.
Performing project management, oversight, and coordination.
Managing and growing client relationships.
Preparing client deliverables.
Mentoring project team members.
Traveling to client sites as needed.
Working with client account managers and account teams to meet client expectations and increase services provided to the client.
Assisting a variety of industrial operations including power, chemical, food - beverage, aerospace, forest products, rail transportation, oil - gas, retail, etc.
Qualifications:
Professional or technical degree in engineering, safety, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of providing consulting services related to
Process Safety Management ,
Risk Management Planning, Enforcement Activities, and related Regulatory Requirements
for industrial and commercial clients.
Requires strong experience with
OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) Standards (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA's Chemical Accident Prevention Program (40 CFR 68) .
Requires previous consulting experience with an existing client base and 3+ years direct responsibility for managing and growing existing accounts and prospecting for new clients related to PSM and RMP Standards.
Proven track record with successful marketing, business development, business management and oversight of regional and/or national businesses.
Strong communications and technical skills both written and oral.
Work as a team player to support our national service platform.
Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
Ability to carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work in an industrial environment, climb ladders, and stairs.
Be able to wear a respirator, and other safety equipment as needed.
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
Certified Professional Process Safety Auditor.
Experience with anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems.
Knowledgeable of common industry standards for facilities subject to PSM and RMP standards (e.g., API standards, International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR), Chlorine Institute, etc.).
Project management experience.
Preferred skills include experience performing and processing: (1) process hazard analysis (PHA); (2) layer of protection analysis (LOPA); (3) process safety information (PSI); (4) compliance program design and development; (5) compliance auditing; (6) management system design, development, and implementation; (7) performing off-site consequence analysis; (8) facility siting analysis; (9) knowledgeable of the API standards for process and pipeline operations; etc.
Compensation:
In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $90K-$155K. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
