Overview:Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.Arcadis is seeking an Architect with command of the government market and extensive project delivery experience to join its Government & Civic Practice Group in the Washington DC office. This position is focused on overseeing the project's conceptual design and technical support and serving as a resource to the project team through preliminary design, schematic design through construction administration.At Arcadis, you will be a vital member of a network of design professionals who value collaboration, fresh insight, and bold talent. You will also be part of a sought-after work culture that supports dynamic career advancement and prizes work/life balance.Responsibilities:Understands all phases of design documentation and constructionPlans, coordinates and manages the project development process of government projectsManages and mentors staff for design quality, technical detailing, and presentationsNegotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate partiesCoordinates and collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectationsMines existing government IDIQ vehicles for future task ordersServes as a key contributor during client meetings and presentationsTravels as needed for client meetings, conferences, and internal strategic meetingsSupports proposal development process, as neededAdopts company-wide processes for customer databases, relationship management, and customer experienceQualifications
Licensed Architect8+ years of related experienceEffective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employeesAbility to produce and direct workStrong construction administration abilityRevit proficiency throughout conceptual, schematic, design, and construction phasesSolid working knowledge of building codesExperience with Sustainable Design and Energy Modeling preferredAbility to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projectsStrong verbal and written communication skillsLEED accreditation preferredProfessional registration requiredMust be U.S. CitizenDC LocationAdditional Information
