Oversees and directs the seamless running of day-to-day operationsSupports the delivery of outstanding guest service while ensuring that all financial and statutory requirements are metIn cooperation with key stakeholders, develops and implements strategy for operational management and development, meeting agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timeframesManages and controls department expenditure, staying within agreed budgets and being cognizant of P/L for venueAdministrative responsibilities including P&L analysis, maintaining budgets, costs of goods, labor costs, expenses, overtime, inventory and customer feedbackCommunicates on a regular basis with key stakeholders regarding venue performance and operationsEnsures maintenance and cleanliness of restaurant with specific focus on departmental health department food standards, OSHA, Fire & Life Safety RegulationsLeading the Team

Be passionate about food, an eye for detail and a team playerDemonstrate care, listening, clear direction and collaboration everyday with the teamMust have strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and energize a diverse teamIs actively involved in the selection, development/performance and separation of team membersResponsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and all aspects of performance management of teamPartners with BOH management to ensure operational and service expectations are defined and deliveredChampion and adhere to all Company standards and policiesConducts meaningful daily preshifts for all FOH team membersMaintains team morale, addressing any and all issues with care and efficiencyDesired Qualifications

Minimum of five (5+) years of high volume restaurant management experienceProven knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in a restaurant is requiredExtensive understanding of guest service and importance of the guest experienceProven ability to accurately calculate P&L and implement spending changes is requiredMust have flexibility and be adaptable to all types of changesMust be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitaskProven ability to coach and mentorMust be able to create fun in a fast-paced and stressful environmentMust have strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all types of business contactsA valid TABC Certification/Food Handler Card is required and must be obtained before entering this positionNova and our partner projects are committed to fostering a diverse environment.
