JOB SUMMARY:
Archbishop Murphy High School seeks a passionate and driven Development Director to join our private Catholic high school. The Development Director is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the school's fundraising initiatives and managing the development team. This role involves collaborating with the Director of Admissions and Marketing to design and implement robust communications and stewardship strategies to support the school’s growth and engagement tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Professional experience with non-profit organizations, including demonstrated success in advancement and development with an emphasis on cultivating and soliciting major gifts.
High energy and passion for Catholic education.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in community building and volunteer coordination.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
Capable of constructing, articulating, and implementing annual strategic development plans to secure funding for operations and capital projects.
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills, including CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Range:
$85,000-$100,000.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Essential Functions
1.
Fundraising
Works with the President to establish annual and long-term fundraising goals based on needed revenue and realistic donor and donor prospect base assessment.
Plans and implements AMHS's annual fundraising program, which includes the annual Fund, Auction, STAR Breakfast, Business Partnerships, Athletics Sponsorships, and other campaigns and special events.
Implements Board-approved Capital Campaigns to achieve the school’s long-term objectives.
Develops and executes planned giving, endowment, and stewardship programs for all donor groups.
Collaborates with the President and other resources to identify, cultivate, and engage potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Conducts research on donor prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, oversees donor profiling, and manages donor file systems to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the donor database.
Partners with the President to create a cultivation program for all donor prospects, incorporating tailored strategies for high-potential donors across all constituencies.
Follows up on all solicitations as needed to ensure maximum success.
2.
Special Events Coordination
Directs and supervises the management of DREAM Auction, STAR Breakfast and other special events.
Supports athletics and other departments in event coordination and direction.
3.
Administrative
Designs and oversees the implementation of the Alumni Relations program.
Oversees the management of databases and all records, files, and gift processing.
Oversees the management of pledge reminder and acknowledgment programs.
Works to project the annual fundraising budget required to implement the annual fundraising plan. Monitors the budget and requests amendments as needed.
Works with the Communications Director to develop cultivation, public relations, and solicitation materials, including a case for support, direct mail brochures and letters, corporate and foundation proposals, brochures, invitations, videos, press releases, annual reports, and other publications as needed.
Produces monthly reports on development activities for the Board of Trustees.
Attends Executive Team and Board of Trustees Committee Meetings and represents AMHS at other meetings, activities, and public events.
Serves on the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees.
4.
Additional Responsibilities
Serves and contributes as part of the Executive Team.
Willingness to work flexible hours to support donor outreach and special events.

Complete other duties as assigned by the President.
