Job Description
Perform detailed design of PeopleSoft HR, ELM, Payroll, FSCM, Absence Management and Time and Labor customizations.
Write technical specifications and configure, build, and test customizations.
Utilize practical proficiency in PeopleSoft Chatbot (Oracle Digital Assistant) and interpret requirements delineated by functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), while also providing guidance to developers in the technical design and development process.
Work with other developers, designers, and architects to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
Work with functional teams to understand the requirements and translate them into technical design.
Follow standard security coding practices to ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities.
Participate in code reviews. Mentor Developers in driving complex technical solutions.
Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
Design logical and physical databases.
Code database descriptions and specify users to access database.
Review, test, and correct program errors.
Modify database programs to increase processing performance using Oracle/Sybase/SQL and other related technologies.
Participate in the transition of the application or technical architecture components to testers.
Fix any defects and performance problems discovered during testing.
Document application changes to facilitate maintenance.
Assist in defining and reviewing the technical requirements for applications, including security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
Work with other designers and the technical architect to make sure that the architecture components interact to fulfill the requirements and meet performance goals.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related IT field, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in People Tools technology (e.g., PeopleCode, PeopleTools, PeopleSoft Chatbot) and in ELM, Payroll, Time and Labor/Absence Management and FSCM modules.
