The data analyst will utilize a multitude of methodological approaches to manage and execute a range of data entry, data quality, and research activities in line with supporting the collection of about 6 accident-related datasets. The position requires a highly motivated and collaborative individual who has a data analysis background and possesses strong organizational, analytic, and writing abilities.Summary Of RoleIn this role the Data Analyst is expected to provide support in all areas related to the collection of safety and safety related information. These areas include:Data ActivitiesData collection, data entry, evaluation, analysis, and dissemination of railroad safety information, specifically railroad accident/incident and railroad grade crossing inventory forms.Communication - Success in this position relies heavily on data driven business decisions, problem solving, constant communication with Railroad Companies, Government stakeholders, and other Government systems users.Data systems support - Work in this environment includes testing software changes, providing developers with core program knowledge, and supporting help desk operations where necessary.Responsibilities/Job DescriptionData SupportData enters and manages all received information into the appropriate system in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner.Coordinate, communicate, and follow up on any issues with the appropriate supervisor or customer to ensure complete accuracy.Communicate with railroads regarding invalid or late data / Organize and file railroad submissions in repositories.Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data analyses.Be proficient (able to create/modify) with tools that support data analyses – SQL Server, PowerBi, Excel, or similar tools.This position also includes working with a team of developers who support FRA Web applications, data intensive applications, and helpdesk/IT support in a SAFE5 scaled agile development environment.Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.RequirementsBachelor’s degree required; preferred in statistics or math related.2 years of data entry/analysis experience preferred.Desired Skills & QualificationsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts in writing, visualizations, and verbal presentations tailored for diverse groups of stakeholders preferred.Attention to detail.Additional InformationIn order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the US.All candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.Other InformationThe salary for this position is $45,000 - $64,000 annuallyFor information on SFI's benefits please visit http://www.spatialfront.com/pages/career.htmlThis is a full-time W2 position.Please no agencies, third parties, or corp-to-corp.Spatial Front Inc. is an Equal-opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Spatial Front Inc. participates in E-Verify.Salary Description$45,000-$64,000
