We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. As a Mission Operations Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing software that supports the mission operations of the FLEX rover during both commercial and NASA Artemis missions. You will work on everything from data management tools to operator telemetry visualizations to path planning simulation infrastructure, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.What You’ll Do:Develop a comprehensive suite of full-stack software solutions for the Mission Operations of the FLEX rover, including data management tools, telemetry visualization platforms, and path-planning simulation software
Collaborate with external teams to create and manage seamless interfaces between in-house systems and vendor-provided software
Work closely with IT and Infosec to ensure mission systems are secure, reliable, and highly available
Support real-time operations from the Astrolab Control Center during lunar missions, testing campaigns, and simulated training exercises
Partner with engineering teams to optimize mission performance by refining data access and analysis tools
What’s Prepared You:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field with 8+ years of experience
8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in full-stack frameworks such as Node.js, Django, Angular, React, etc.
Proven ability to manage projects through their full life cycle, from conception to delivery
Experience providing real-time support to internal or external customers in mission-critical environments
Experience developing software for mission-critical systems with a focus on reliability and security
