The VelocityEHS Talent Acquisition Team is accepting summer internship applications! This paid internship is available for 40 hours per week for approximately 14 weeks. This remote opportunity is open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States or Canada and candidates must be open to working in Central or Eastern time zone hours.The
Talent Acquisition Intern
will gain hands-on experience in the functional area of Talent Acquisition. The position will support the entire recruitment life cycle from job posting to offer and onboarding.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Responsibilities Include:Posts jobs via UKG (HRIS), WordPress, and internal HR Info channel.Dispositions candidates within each job requisition to ensure accurate recruitment data can be captured.Creates and maintains multiple Candidate Trackers, assisting with presentation of candidate profiles for Hiring Manager review.Schedules intake meetings/virtual interviews via Microsoft Outlook, effectively managing calendar conflicts and multiple time zones.Prepares interview evaluation forms for interviewers to complete. Communicates form instructions to interviewers and reviews forms for completeness.Assists with drafting employment offer letters for external and internal hires.Sends onboarding paperwork to new hires upon offer acceptance.Assists with drafting outreach campaigns with our diversity partners.Regularly updates spreadsheets to notify IT, Finance, and Payroll of new-hire information.Supports Affirmative Action efforts and best practices including compliant management of candidate files.Assists with the creation of recruitment training for people leaders.Assists with creation and maintenance of SOPs and other Talent Acquisition documents and resources.Other duties as assigned by Manager, Talent Acquisition.Minimum Skills & Qualifications:Must be currently pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a strongly related field.Proven project management and time management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to embrace change.Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail.Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Preferred Skills & Qualifications:Experience handling confidential matters.Experience scheduling virtual meetings with multiple attendees across time zones.Knowledge of Affirmative Action compliance.Experience sourcing talent on LinkedIn.In 3rd or 4th year of a 4-year program preferred.Experience with Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.We welcome and encourage diversity in the workplace.
