This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services. The Director of Food and Nutritional Services is responsible for all food service-related activities for a K-12 public school district, including enhancing the service available in the campus cafeterias, retail options, caterings, quality improvement, sanitation, etc. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business.Key Responsibilities:

The Director ensures client, customer satisfaction and efficient cost effective management for the client's food service operations. The Director is also responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of their team. In addition; you will assist in fostering strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations.Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three (3) years of directly related experienceThree (3) to five (5) years of direct food service operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and controlStrong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentationPrevious P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirableStrong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skillsStrong communication skills both written and verbalAbility to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levelsExcellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skillsProficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the InternetServSafe CertifiedCertified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian preferredApply to Chartwells Schools today!Chartwells Schools is a member of Compass Group USACompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
